hygrometers?
Cwyn N,
Yep... got it.
Peace
Agreed. I find it surprising that some people storing a lot of tea still don't have these, considering the low cost. Just wrote about this for a future Things I Like & Don't Like column.
Tea DB (James),
I prefer the idea of only using your own sense of taste, smell, sight, and feel to determine if more humidity is needed for each cake. I think Cwyn above does a lot of this. Living in other more hospitable climates, I used this more interactive method but in the harsh, extreme climate store my tea in currently, and with my lifestyle, I have no choice but to resort to these...
I just wish the cheap ones actually showed the right humidity, these were all stored in the same Mylar bag...
Look forward to your article.
Peace
The look and feel test is fine, but there is real value in measuring temperature and humidity.
If it's an issue of accuracy.. You know you can calibrate them rather easily or can store them with something you know is calibrated to see if they are slightly inaccurate or way off.

Tea DB,
I guess it’s weather you see puerh storage as a science or an art.
Thanks for that link... I’m going to get the salt...
Peace
That is true enough! Cheers, -James
