This 2010 Yang Qing Hao Shen Yun Tian Cheng goes for $1020.00 for 500g cake or $2.04/g is another of the really expensive … it claims to be high quality Bo He Tang on the site and I can concur to the best of my abilities that this could be early Bo He Tang on the wild side!
Dry leaves are a woody papery dry sweet almost tobaccco faint leaf odour.
Rinsed leaves have a warming spice sweet woody odour.
First infusion has a warming spicy woody almost honey or brown sugar with a metalic malty sweet taste. Sticky full mouthfeel with some bitterness in the mouth.
Second infusion has a sour sweet almost fruity orange blossom not really with a brassy malty sweet taste. Slight bitter and sour more than sweet. Oily texture with thicker chalky feeling. Very nice sweet floral almost purfume finish.
Third infusion is left to cool and is a malty sweet with a sweet floral malty honey finish. Sticky a bit thicker mouthfeeling with deep honey lingering on the breath minutes later.
Fourth infusion is a sweet creamy honey sweet taste. Long creamy sweet with honey layer. Oily chalky sweet honey is nice with a light chest beats and swelling chest and mild happy focusing.
5th has a sweet pear and honey onset with an oily thicker chalky feeling. Swelling chest. Creamy chalky sweet with deeper honey layer. Happy mild high feeling.
6th has a sweet almost sour honey taste with oily mouthfeel and menthol finish. Mild happy feeling.
7th has a sour plum sour slight bitter/ astringent with a woody creamy sweet and honey flavour underneath. Mild happy feeling.
8th is a honey sweet taste with long honey finish. Mild chest and happy feelings.
9th has an apple and spice and woody taste with honey base. Happy relaxing mild qi with mild chest sensation. Nice honey long base taste.
10th has a cookie and honey sweet taste tastes of almond and honey is very delicious. Chest is fluttery and I feel an anxious energy lingering.
11th has a brassy sweet honey taste with an anxious energy in the chest. Powerful slow build up in the chest and mind. Trapped build up of chest energy feels like anxiety maybe.
12th I put the spent leaves into a long thermos steeping… it is honey berries sweet with cooling almost menthol berries. Silty sweet berries long taste and finish. Still some chest feelings and energy.
Has nuances/ character of wild tea/ Yesheng such as long lingering taste and energy that can feel anxious. There is a uniquely amazing quality about the Qi of this tea- it is quite relaxing enjoyable and unassuming until it isn’t and the Qi all of a sudden hijacks you… and you experience this spectacular surge of almost anxious energy in the chest…. It’s an experience for sure!
Peace
