Rinsed leaves are a bit salty woody herby.
First infusion has a long creamy pure icing sugar taste. There is a mild dry wood and almost faint raisins. Cool throat deep throat opening as the creamy icing sugar transforms into cooling breath. Mild chalky mouthfeel.
Second infusion has a creamy herby icing sugar with a long creamy sweeet icing sugar taste that extends long into the finish. Some dry woody sort of vegital finish in mouth. Deep opening of chest. Spacy high feeling.
3rd is a bit spicy brown sugar icing sugar and creamy sweet layers in the initial taste. There is a vegital sweet taste in the middle flavours. Dry woody bark but a deep cool breath soft chalky sandy mouthfeel. Cool breath. Complex taste. Deep chest opening and spaced out feeling good qi. Dryer stored than other Yang Qing Shao and also many smaller leaves, with maybe tighter rolled production and/ or possibly some Wild Tea/ Yesheng in the mix… interesting outlier Yang Qing Hao.
4th infusion has a vegital bitter root vegetable slight incense smoke with lesser underlying sweetness and saltiness. Sort of slight dry woody vegital left in mouth. Spacy high. Chest opening neck release with jaw light and head light.
5th has an almost resin woody vegetal salty taste with a dry woody mid and a mild sweetness and mild bitterness with salty taste. Minutes later a faint caramel appears. Chest beats and mind feels very high. Mouthfeel is slight dry and oily.
6th has a sort of salty spice woody caramel incense onset complex moderate tastes. Cooling breath smoke incense. Almost vegital wood dry finishing taste. Slight drying mouthfeel. Big chest beats spacy high feeling with jaw and face light feeling.
7th cooled down is a sweet smoke incense salty woody faint caramel cool breath. Less sweet and more salty bitter smoke. Big spaced out highs.
8th has a sweet smoke day woody almost salty herb taste. Cooled down has a salty herb and caramel with cool breath slightly smoke finish. Spaced out feeling. Chest opening jaw and face feels light and loose.
9th was an hours long mug steeping and it comes out dense oily herbs medicinal moder bitterness and some dry wood vegital faint coco rootbeer tastes. Dense and complex salty medicinal tastes and some lesser smoke incense. Big spaced out feeling.
Long mug steeping of spent leaves is a bitter herbal vegital with medical root dry woody taste. Tingling mouthfeel smoke background.
This puerh is definitely on my radar to purchase due to its reasonable price. I dropped it from my last order but it was the final cut from the order…. The price had just gone up, I think, and I went for better value… this one is a good contender for next order … still not sure…
